1.make的基本意思是“做,製造”,即“使甲物變為乙物”“使某物變為某種狀態”。引申可指 “開始,試圖”“行進,趨向”“被做成,被製成”“增長起來” “走(到),以(某種速度)行進,趕上”“吃”“説明,講述”
2.make可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞。用作及物動詞時可接名詞、代詞作賓語,用作不及物動詞時主動形式常含有被動意義。
3.make作“作出某種動作”解時,常與某些名詞連用,其意思常常近似於與該名詞相對應的動詞,用來表示行動,可接介詞短語,也可接動詞不定式
4.make可接雙賓語,意思是“給…做…,為…提供或準備…”,其間接賓語可以轉換為介詞for的賓語。
