伊索寓言內容簡介
上海科學技術文獻出版社以“徐家彙藏書樓雙語故事經典”叢書之名，選取百年前問世的二十二個少兒文學經典版本進行編輯和翻譯，採用中英文雙語對照的形式出版，保留大量精美插圖。沉睡中的經典被重新喚醒，走進現今孩童們的閲讀生活裏；它們超越了遙遠的時空，歷久彌新，因而獲得了永恆的意味 。
《伊索寓言》是古希臘的一部寓言總集，1610年，瑞士學者伊薩克•內夫雷編輯出版了第三版的《伊索寓言》，自此以後的三百年間，就傳播而言，除了《聖經》外 ，無一書能與《伊索寓言》相媲美。《伊索寓言》對歐洲乃至世界文學的發展產生了久遠的、難以估量的影響。
本書英文選自1910年倫敦出版的《伊索寓言》，由生澳大利亞民俗學家約瑟夫•雅各布斯選編。這一版本在二十世紀最初十年間一版再版，是影響最大、流傳最廣、深受讀者喜愛的圖書之一。現在，我們將這一版本全書通譯，完全採用原書的繪圖，相信依舊能引起讀者們的共鳴。

伊索寓言作者簡介
伊索的生平事蹟，眾説紛紜，難有定論。通行的説法是，伊索生於公元前620年前後，生下就是奴隸，先後有兩個主人：桑索斯和亞德蒙，兩人均為薩摩斯島人，因為賞識伊索的才能，便還其自由人身份。伊索從此漫遊列邦、廣交賢哲，完成了這影響持續數千年的不朽名著。
約瑟夫•雅各布斯是著名民俗學家、作家，他生於1854年，在悉尼讀完小學，十八歲時移居英國，四年後畢業於英國劍橋大學。他是一位多產作家，在十九世紀名聞遐邇，《伊索寓言》即其代表作之一。 後雅各布斯全家遷居美國，1916年卒於紐約。
