姚樹潔

重慶城市科技學院名譽教授。重慶大學經濟學教授,博導,社科學部副主任、教育部長江學者、重慶市首席專家工作室領銜專家，曾在牛津大學、朴茨茅斯大學等高校從事教學科研工作，擔任過諾丁漢大學當代中國學和孔子學院創建院長。作為世界銀行和聯合國高級經濟顧問曾在歐、亞、非20多個國家工作及研究。在Journal of Political Economy, Economic Development and Cultural Change, Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance,《經濟研究》、《中國經濟學（季刊）》、《世界經濟》等數十種國內外SCI/SSCI和CSSCI雜誌上發表100多篇學術論文,出版多本中英文專著，擔任過許多著名雜誌的編委。主持過一項國家社科基金重大項目，一項國家自科基金面上項目，三項省部級重點項目,獲得過省部級社會科學獎項三項,全球孔子學院優秀個人獎和陝西省“三秦友誼獎”。 ^[4] 

1985年到英國曼徹斯特大學攻讀碩士學位，後獲得了曼大的全額獎學金繼續攻讀博士學位，18個月就完成了博士論文。1989年5月到牛津大學工作，作為世界銀行和聯合國開發計劃署的經濟顧問前後到過納米比亞、埃塞俄比亞、坦桑尼亞、南非、斯威士蘭等國家工作，隨後到樸次茅斯大學經濟系任教。2001年3月到倫敦米德爾賽克斯大學任經濟系主任和教授，2005年1月任西安交通大學特聘教授。 ^[2]  2014年起作為特聘教授全職在重慶大學工作，所聘崗位為經濟與工商管理學院應用經濟學。

已出版10部專著，在Journal of Political Economy、Journal of Comparative Economics、World Economy、China Quarterly、 Journal of Development Studies、China Economic Review等國際期刊上發表審稿文章90餘篇，在《亞洲經濟文獻期刊》的排名中姚樹潔教授被列在中國經濟問題研究專家的第八位。
