Can't Help Falling In Love

貓王在電影《Blue Hawaii》裏面演唱的《Can't Help Falling in Love》是以古典旋律做基礎。由George Weiss, Hugo Peretti和Luigi Creatore改編自德國成曲家Johann Paul Aegidus Martini於18世紀所寫的《Plaisir d'amour》。貓王在60及70年代的演唱會幾乎都是以這首歌收尾。大家熟悉的錄音版本在1962年成為他的第35張百萬暢銷唱片。 ^[1]

“貓王”是埃爾維斯·普雷斯利的暱稱，他與鮑勃·迪倫，披頭士並稱搖滾樂史上最偉大的不朽象徵，他的音樂超越了種族以及文化的疆界，將鄉村音樂、布魯斯音樂以及山地搖滾樂融會貫通，形成了具有鮮明個性的獨特曲風，強烈的震撼了當時的流行樂壇，並讓搖滾樂如同旋風一般橫掃了世界樂壇。

埃爾維斯·普雷斯利，綽號貓王。美國搖滾歌手及演員，1935年1月8日出生在密西西比州圖珀洛。

1948年普雷斯利隨父母遷到了孟菲斯。在這裏普雷斯利開始同一些職業樂手接觸，並偶爾參加演出。 ^[2]  1954年普雷斯利錄製第一張商業唱片。1956年首次上全國性的電視節目。他的第一部電影《温柔地愛我》出世，同名電影主題曲也因此成為經典情歌。貓王成為當時好萊塢收入最高的男演員之一。

1958年被美國陸軍徵召入伍，被派往德國服役。1960年退役。1968年，普雷斯利復出。 ^[3]  1977年8月16日普雷斯利因心臟病突發死於家中。

普雷斯利的音樂風格是混合了節奏藍調、西部民歌、鄉村音樂的特點，建立了搖滾流行音樂的主要形式。使搖滾樂在世界範圍的流行普及化。 ^[2]
