免疫系統的特徵是識別自己和非己。細胞毒T淋巴細胞（CTL）通過其細胞表面的受體（TCR）檢查表達在所有人體細胞表面的一種稱作MHC I類複合體的身份標記。假如細胞受到病毒、細菌或寄生蟲侵入，或發生癌變，來自入侵者的蛋白碎片會裝載到MHC I類分子上形成肽複合體（p—MHC），T細胞將識別該變化並殺死攜帶有病原體的宿主細胞或癌變細胞。

研究入侵病原物及癌變細胞蛋白的抗原加工與提呈，抗原表位與MHC I類分子的裝配，MHC－TCR相互作用機制，調控MHC-TCR之間的識別，預防病毒感染，治療癌症。

研究課題包括抗原加工與提呈的理論基礎；人源化TCR-like單鏈抗體的臨牀評價；免疫殺傷細胞的特異性調控與應用。 ^[1]
