詹姆斯·泰特·布萊克紀念獎

詹姆斯·布萊克獎由英國出版商布萊克的遺孀為紀念丈夫對優秀書籍的熱愛而出資創立。這一文學獎每年頒發一次，由400多名愛丁堡大學學者和在校研究生從上一年度出版的英文小説類和傳記類作品中提名入圍作品。各獎項獎金均為1萬英鎊（約合10萬元人民幣）。2013年，愛丁堡大學與蘇格蘭國家劇院合作，為詹姆斯·布萊克獎增設戲劇類獎項。

此獎項創辦於1919年，每年評獎一次，布萊克獎包括小説獎和傳記獎，各項獎金一直為3000英鎊，2005年時獎金提高為各項一萬英鎊。布萊克紀念獎的獲獎者大部分都是知名的作家人士，前任的獲獎者中包括了着名的D.H.勞倫斯、E.M.福斯特、羅伯特·格雷夫斯、格雷厄姆·格林、伊夫林·沃、薩爾曼·拉什迪等。也有諾貝爾文學獎的獲獎者，像威廉·戈爾丁、 娜丁·戈迪默、J.M.庫切、多麗絲·萊辛，1902年的諾貝爾醫學獎得主羅納德·羅斯（Ronald Ross）也憑藉自己的回憶錄獲得1923年的傳記獎，還有獲得過布克獎、柑橘獎、都柏林獎等眾多英語文學獎的作家也獲此榮譽。

布萊克獎包括小説獎和傳記獎，各項獎金為3000英鎊。獲獎者中包括了著名的D.H.勞倫斯、E.M.福斯特、格雷厄姆·格林、薩爾曼·拉什迪，娜丁戈迪默。
