1995年9月至1999年7月：中國地質大學（武漢）學習，獲工科學士學位；

1999年9月至2003年8月：中國科學院地球化學研究所碩-博連讀;

2003年9月至12月：中國科學院地球化學研究所任助理研究員；

2004年1月至2004年12月：中國科學院地球化學研究所任副研究員；

2005年1月-2010年3月：中國科學院地球化學研究所任研究員；

2005年2月至2006年2月：澳大利亞國立大學高級訪問學者；

2009年2月至2010年2月：英國南安普敦大學國家海洋中心訪問學者；

2010年3月-至 今：北京大學地球與空間科學學院研究員。

主要從事岩漿岩地球化學和礦牀地球化學，特別是碳酸岩和共生鹼性岩的成因及其岩漿演化與元素富集成礦的機理。

2018年8月3日，根據《國家傑出青年科學基金項目管理辦法》的有關規定，國家自然科學基金委員會將2018年度國家傑出青年科學基金建議資助項目申請人名單予以公佈，許成在名單之中。 ^[2]
