香港女歌手徐小鳳於二十世紀八十年代，曾改編她的作品Here Comes the Night（收錄在1979年專輯Night Rains）及I Love You Best（她寫給澳洲一女歌手的作品，她本人並無演譯過）為中文版，歌名叫《人似浪花》（卡龍填詞）及《深秋立樓頭》（湯正川填詞）；兩首均成為徐小鳳經典歌曲。2006年4月，一名在馬來西亞的徐小鳳歌迷，將當年徐小鳳演譯這兩首歌曲的現場DVD，帶往英國出席Janis Ian的Living Room Concert慈善音樂會，並送贈予Janis，而Janis亦將她收錄《人似浪花》原曲Here Comes the Night的專輯Night Rains透過該名歌迷帶回香港，並於同年12月16日于徐小鳳的演唱會中，送予徐小鳳作為禮物。

Janis Ian在得悉她是徐小鳳金曲《人似浪花》的原唱者後，於2006年的Folk is the New Black演唱會中再次演譯該曲，但改用吉他伴奏（原專輯Night Rains的版本上她是彈鋼琴的）。
