江博明

江博明院士早年畢業於明尼蘇達大學,長期在法國雷恩大學任教,在同位素年代學和地球化學、花崗岩與地殼生長以及克拉通的早期演化等領域具有很深的造詣。江博明是改革開放初期最早接觸中國大陸地質研究的海外華人學者之一。 [1]

江博明簡介

江博明(Jahn B M),台灣大學地質科學系教授。

江博明主要經歷

1952年台灣大學地質系學士。
1956年美國布朗大學碩士。
1961年美國明尼蘇達大學博士。
1961年至1965年NASA博士後研究。
1973年美國明尼蘇達大學訪問教授。
1976年台灣中央研究院訪問教授。
1983年日本京都大學訪問教授。
1965年至91年任教於法國雷恩大學
1991年至1993年台灣大學講座教授。
1993年起台灣中央研究院地球科學研究所所長。 [3] 

江博明研究領域

利用元素及同位素地球化學之原理及技術去探討岩石成因及大地構造之問題。例如:地球的上部地幔演化。 [3] 
1.一般: 地質定年學, 同位素及微量元素地球化學General: Geochronology, isotope and trace element geochemistry.
2.應用: 利用同位素及地球化學的方法與技術來研究岩石成因和大地構造。諸如,上部地幔的成分及演化,大陸地殼的成長,岩漿岩的成因 (科馬提巖,玄武岩,花崗岩),太古代沉積岩的地球化學,太古代克拉通的演化, 超高壓榴輝巖的成因,及其對大陸碰撞造山帶構造演化的意義, 黃土的地球化學研究及對古氣候變遷的意義及應用於上部大陸地殼平均化學成分之估計,碳酸鹽的鈾-鉛定年學及沉積岩的直接定年,花崗岩的岩石成因及大陸地殼的演化,中亞造山帶及阿拉伯-努比亞盾地的大陸地殼成長,日本島及俄國遠東的地殼與大地構造演化。 [2]
