精細化工、納米材料與技術在藥物傳遞及靶向作用中應用、膠體與界面化學及在綠色化學中的應用、海洋海藻資源的高效利用 ^[1] 

圍繞精細化學品的高功能化和精細化學品的綠色化，以應用基礎研究和形成技術創新體系為特色，在海洋精細化學品、綠色藥物載體、自組裝納米膠束、高分子表面活性劑等精細化學品及其綠色製備技術等領域中均獲得突破性的研究成果。其中，利用綠色化學技術開發天然原料，通過分子設計製備綠色環保型高效的藥物載體及天然高分子表面活性劑，成功開發了水基化、顆粒化綠色農藥產業化新型生產工藝，該系列科研成果已轉化生產力，產生了較好的經濟效益和社會效益。 ^[1] 

Carbohydrate PolymersColloids and Surfaces A: Physicochem. Eng. Aspects，Food Hydrocolloids，《精細化工》等期刊審稿人。在Carbohydrate polymers, ACS Sustainable Chem. Eng.,Int J Biol Macromol , MAT Sci Eng C-Mater，RSC Advances等國際國內學術期刊上發表論文80餘篇，編寫出版學術著作 3 部，獲得發明專利5項，在綠色農藥應用中，開發了多個水基化、控釋化、省力化、與環境友好的農藥新制劑，產生了顯著的經濟效益及社會效益。 ^[1]
