曾為“國家自然科學基金委員會創新研究羣體”、“國家重點基礎研究發展計劃(973計劃)”骨幹成員。完成和主持國家自然科學基金委員會面上項目、及與香港研究資助局聯合科研資助基金(NSFC/RGC)項目，教育部高等學校博士學科點專項科研基金，國家教委“骨幹教師基金”、“優秀年輕教師基金”、“回國人員科研啓動基金”，“中國博士後科學基金”，“甘肅省自然科學基金”等多項科研項目。教學成果曾獲甘肅省教育廳級獎及蘭州大學獎。主要研究興趣為天然產物全合成及其方法學，有機功能分子的設計合成及性質研究，迄今已在Chem. Sci.,Chem. Commun.,Chem. Eur. J.,Chem. Asian J.,Org. Lett.,J. Org. Chem.,Adv. Synth. Catal.,Appl. Catal. B: Environ.等國內外刊物上發表學術論文多篇。

教學成果曾獲蘭州大學2003年二等獎。
