主要研究有限時間熱力學，提出的等温捷徑理論方案被實驗同行所採納，預言的內稟功等式被同行的實驗所證實，導出的費曼棘輪最大功率下的效率公式被同行多次冠以申請人的姓氏字母Tu或T作為角標進行引用，構建的熱機抽象模型被同行認可有教學和科研上的雙重價值。 [8] 
獲優秀青年科學基金項目 [3]  ，德國洪堡學者（博士後），全國百篇優秀博士論文獎。 [3-5]  主講基礎課《力學》，《理論力學》和《生物物理引論》等 [3]  。著作有《液晶相生物膜彈性理論的幾何方法》 [6]  ，《細胞的物理生物學》（譯著） [7]  ，《生物膜彈性理論精要》。發表學術論文40餘篇 [8]  。
