擔任中國畜牧獸醫學會理事、中國畜牧獸醫學會家畜寄生蟲學分會理事長。 ^[1] 

主講本科生《獸醫寄生蟲學》、碩士生《分子寄生蟲學》和《免疫寄生蟲學》、專業碩士生《高級寄生蟲學》等課程，所主講《獸醫寄生蟲學》於2003年（首屆）獲得教育部頒佈的國家精品課程稱號。 ^[1] 

主要研究方向為動物寄生原蟲與寄生原蟲病，先後主持和參加國家自然基金、北京市自然基金、農業行業科技、“973”等多項研究。在弓形蟲病、新孢子蟲病和畜禽球蟲病等疾病的病原生物學、流行病學、免疫學、診斷與防控研究中取得優異成績。 ^[1]
