農業經濟學、氣候影響和氣候適應、國際貿易、食物系統 ^[1] 

現任教於浙江大學公共管理學院農經系、浙江大學中國農村發展研究院，同時為波茨坦氣候影響研究所（Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Reserch）客座研究員。 汪笑溪博士畢業於柏林洪堡大學農業經濟學系，博士導師為Prof. Dr. Hermann Lotze-Campen (PIK/HU), Dr. Chantal Le Mouël (INRA), Dr. Jan P. Dietrich (PIK) 。現為國際農業經濟學會（IAAE）會員，美國農業經濟學學會 (AAEA) 會員，歐洲農業經濟學學會（EAAE）會員，並擔任Journal of institutional Economics，Environmental Governance and Policy， Land Use Policy，Ecological Modelling，Ecological Economics等國際期刊審稿人。 ^[1] 

參加撰寫世界銀行關於全球氣候影響的報告“Turn down the Heat: Why a 4°C Warmer World Must be Avoided”。參與開發基於GAMS語言的動態遞歸優化局部均衡模型，負責模型中的生產率增長，國際貿易模塊的開發，通過利用統計和雙層優化方法對相關的模塊進行參數化和校正， 同時參與/獨立開發基於R 語言的多個開源軟件包。有豐富的使用高性能計算集羣進行優化模型模擬的經驗，並參與歐盟第七框架、地平線2020及德國教育部資助的多個科研項目，負責關於氣候變化影響和全球土地利用，國際貿易及農產品價格研究。
