You’ve Got a Friend是傳奇歌手Carole King 於1971年灌錄的，這首帶有迷人氣息的歌曲，在同一年由歌手James Taylor重新演繹勇奪告示牌冠軍，更在來年為Carole King及James Taylor各拿下一座葛萊美獎，可説是當年最風光的歌曲。You’ve Got a Friend在接下來的40年間不斷地被Michael Jackson、Aretha Franklin、Alanis Morissette、Ella Fitzgerald、Al Green、Yo La Tengo、Erykah Badu等來自節奏藍調、獨立搖滾、流行樂界各個樂界的知名歌手所相繼翻唱，可説是能見度最高的經典之一。 ^[2]
