Try創作背景

邁克爾·布斯比一天醒來的時候腦海中突然出現了這首歌的大部分旋律，然後他迅速拿起手機錄下旋律。他飛往底特律為本·韋斯特演奏了這首歌，兩人一起完成了歌曲小樣。進一步整合後，他們將歌曲交予亞當·蘭伯特，但是他拒絕了這首歌。他們亦考慮邀請凱莉·克萊森獲Daughtry演唱這首歌，但最終不了了之。最後邁克爾·布斯比將這首歌交給了唱片公司高管拉尼·漢考克，拉尼·漢考克推薦將這首歌交給P!nk演唱。P!nk聽完《Try》後拿走了這首歌^[2] 。
