美國節奏Top 40榜: #3895年12月初，《HIStory》專輯中的“This Time Around”同“Earth Song”在美國地區被髮放到電台做前期宣傳，最後以失敗告終。而“Earth Song”在MTV台成為當時點播率最高的音樂錄影，但並沒有讓這支附帶在該碟裏的歌曲獲得良好的點播。“This Time Around”在傳送過程中，擁有了很多種混音版，但人們沒能真的聽到它們或買到它們。只有David Morales混音版最終出現在了《Blood On The Dance Floor》專輯上。

該曲被普遍認為是索尼音樂公司對Michael Jackson的最壞市場運營。在聖誕節檔期裏沒有安排任何恰當的單曲來發售，“You Are Not Alone”和“They Don't Care About Us”之間的發行間隔太大，《HIStory》的銷量只能不斷下滑。在37周內賣出350萬套專輯後，《HIStory》跌出了榜單，從此再也沒有回來。而在世界的其他地方，則是完全不同的景象。

大量的“This Time Around”的前期宣傳用CD以及12英寸vinyl版本的單曲如今成為Michael Jackson迷中收藏者的珍品。尤其是有9支曲目的12英寸vinyl版本的單曲(Epic EAS 7603/4)尤為值錢，每張大概值100英鎊。
