煙鬼組合的成員亞歷克斯·鮑爾表示，他們先是給酷玩樂隊主唱克里斯·馬汀播放了一些鋼琴演奏的旋律，引起了克里斯的共鳴。克里斯·馬汀隨着旋律在大廳裏邊跳舞邊哼唱了數個小時後，坐下來完成了歌曲整個第一部分歌詞的創作。歌曲經過雙方進一步修改完成後，亞歷克斯·鮑爾坦言克里斯·馬汀是他合作過的最出色的歌曲創作者之一

歌詞版MV由詹姆斯·茲瓦德洛執導，於2017年2月22日與歌曲同步發行。歌曲MV的背景與單曲封面的星空一致，手寫的歌詞隨着旋律以不同的色彩在背景上動態出現。此外，MV中還出現了簡筆畫形式的小超人形象和外星人演唱會等畫面。MV的結尾則是小男孩在牀上睡覺的場景，牀邊散落着前面出現的如望遠鏡、火箭、飛碟和外星人等元素
