Philip Quast人物經歷

早期經歷
Philip Quast於1957年7月30日生於澳大利亞新南威爾士州塔姆沃思。 [1]  1979年畢業於一流的戲劇學校——澳洲國立舞台藝術學院National Institute of Dramatic Arts，並從澳洲南部的State Theatre Company 開始了他的藝術生涯。
1980年代

1990年代
Sunday In The Park With George Sunday In The Park With George
1990年Philip因為在斯蒂芬·桑德海姆的音樂劇《週日與喬治同遊公園》（Sunday In The Park With George）裏的成功扮演了喬治·修拉而贏得了當年的奧立佛獎和廣泛的讚譽。
1993年，Philip回到故鄉澳洲，在Gale Edwards製作的《科里奧蘭納斯》（Coriolanus）中扮演Aufidius，而後在《拜訪森林》（Into the Woods） 中扮演大灰狼和灰姑娘的王子。
1994-1996兩年間，Philip Quast斷斷續續地參加了（英國）皇家莎士比亞劇團的演出，分別《聖誕頌歌》（A Christmas Carol ）和《愛情急轉彎》（Love's Labours Lost）、《白魔》（ The White Devil）等名劇中擔綱了主要角色。
1995年再次回國時，Philip在《神秘花園》（The Secret Garden）裏扮演Dr Neville Craven，並以此獲得了他的第二個悉尼劇評人獎和兩個毛氏獎。
1995年Philip又以沙威一角入選陣容強勁的夢幻組合，在《悲慘世界》10週年紀念音樂會上給全世界的《悲》迷們留下了難忘的回憶。 [2] 
1997年在由奧斯卡獲獎電影《美國美人》的導演Sam Mendes執導的新編音樂劇《政壇秘辛》（The Fix）中，Philip飾演了飽受折磨的Grahame Chandler，並因此贏得了他的第二座奧立佛“最佳音樂劇男演員”獎。
1998年，在向卡麥隆·麥金託什致敬的慈善音樂會《Hey, Mr. Producer!》中，Philip最後一次扮演了沙威這一令他國際聞名的經典角色。 [2] 
2000年代
2000年他回到澳大利亞，在全新版本的《彼得·潘》中扮演了邪惡的虎克船長， 並在悉尼奧林匹克藝術節上演出了《白魔》(The White Devil)裏的Francesco de' Medici。悉尼的演出結束後，Philip立即飛回倫敦，在英國皇家莎士比亞劇團製作的《神秘花園》（The Secret Garden）中領銜主演Archibald Craven，在劇中其對角色的深入刻畫和感人至深的表演鞏固了Philip在評論界與廣大觀眾眼中的一貫演技派形象。
South Pacific South Pacific
2001年末，Philip演出了英國電視電影《我與瓊斯夫人》（Me & Mrs Jones） ，隨後來到悉尼拍攝了6集ABC頻道的喜劇Corridors of Power 。在紀念偉大的音樂劇大師羅傑斯與哈莫斯坦合作50年的慶祝活動中，Trevor Nunn導演、皇家國家劇院演出的《南太平洋》裏，Philip激動人心的表演為他贏得了第三座奧立佛獎。音樂劇歷史上第一位在演出生涯中攬獲三座奧立佛獎盃的男演員從此誕生。
2003年下半年，Philip現身在英國西部蘇塞克斯的奇切斯特藝術節中，先後出演莎士比亞經典劇目《威尼斯商人》與 契訶夫的《海鷗》。
2006年6月開始，Philip再次出現在倫敦西區的音樂劇舞台，在Evita復排版中出演貝隆，並憑此角色再獲一次奧立佛獎提名。
2007年7月，Philip在倫敦皇家節日音樂廳上演的《理髮師陶德》（Sweeney Todd）演唱會版中出演特平法官。 [3] 
2009年5月，Philip與Roger Allam合作出演了《假鳳虛凰》（La Cage Aux Folles一籠傻鳥）復排版，巧合的是兩人都以在《悲慘世界》中扮演沙威而聞名於世。 [4] 
2010年代至今
2010年7月，Philip在墨爾本的女王陛下劇院出演了澳洲首演版《歡樂滿人間》（Mary Poppins），並憑此劇獲得了多個獎項。
2014年Philip在紐約舞台上亮相，在紐約愛樂版《理髮師陶德》（Sweeney Todd）中再度扮演特平法官。
在話劇方面，Philip於2013年與Hugo Weaving和Richard Roxburgh合作，在《等待戈多》（Waiting For Godot）中扮演波卓，並於2015年在倫敦舞台上再度扮演這個角色。2014年，在墨爾本出演易卜生的《羣鬼》（Ghosts）。
Philip不僅在音樂劇與戲劇舞台上向人們展示了他的獨特魅力，除此之外，他所參與拍攝的電視作品和電影更是不勝枚舉，在澳洲他絕對稱得上是家喻户曉的影視歌三棲巨星。
