Miss Independent創作背景
《Miss Independent》是瑞特·勞倫斯為天命真女創作的一首歌曲，他在將歌曲寫完成後就打算將其送給該女團。但意想不到的是，該女團拒絕錄製這首歌曲。之後，瑞特·勞倫斯又與克里斯蒂娜·阿奎萊拉、馬特·莫里斯將這首歌曲作為專輯《Stripped》中的歌曲來製作，併為它取名“Miss Independence”。但最終克里斯蒂娜·阿奎萊拉還是放棄了將歌曲收入專輯的想法，該曲也沒寫完。最後瑞特·勞倫斯和凱莉·克萊森的經紀人西蒙·富勒鼓勵凱莉·克萊森為這首歌曲填詞，並定名為“Miss Independent”
