Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

1965年英國著名搖滾樂隊The Animals翻唱，改編為布魯斯搖滾版，收錄在樂隊第三張錄音室專輯《Animal Tracks》中，在UK Singles Chart（英國單曲榜）取得季軍成績，在Billboard Hot 100打入前二十。2004年《滾石》評選的“The 500 greatest songs of all time”中排列第315位。 ^[2] 

1977年Santa Esmeralda改編為拉丁&弗拉明戈版本，收錄在同名專輯《Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood》中 ^[3]  ，此版本用於1992年電影《American Me》、2003年的電影《殺死比爾》和2010年電影《人在囧途》的插曲。

2006年飽受爭議與誤解的Yusuf Islam（Cat Stevens）重新演繹此曲，改編為民謠（絃樂）版本，收錄在專輯《An Other Cup》中。 ^{[1]  [4]} 

Nina Simone

妮娜·西蒙（Nina Simone；1933年2月21日－2003年4月21日），美國歌手、作曲家與鋼琴表演家。原名尤妮斯·凱瑟林·偉蒙（Eunice Kathleen Waymon）、以藝名妮娜·西蒙著稱。雖然一般人認為她是一位優秀的爵士女伶、但妮娜不喜歡被這樣歸類。她的創作歌曲類型主要包括有藍調、節奏藍調和靈魂樂。她的演唱方式則以富有情感、帶有氣息的變化音（tremolo）為主要特色。

The Animals

動物樂隊是60年代初興起於英國節奏布魯斯舞台上的最重要的樂隊之一。在英國入侵的第一次浪潮中，動物樂隊是僅次於滾石樂隊的以節奏布魯斯為基礎的樂隊。他們所處的年代正是所謂的英國入侵時代，眾多來自英國的樂隊佔據了美國的音樂舞台。在這次改變了美國搖滾音樂格局，甚至改變了整個搖滾音樂發展走向的運動中，動物樂隊一直是一股重要的力量。 ^[5]
