Deja Vu

《Déjà Vu》的部分命名原因來源於製作人羅德尼·傑金、Jon Jon Traxx的心血來潮：他們在2005年想打破常規，創作一些守舊派歌曲，給電貝司和號角帶來轉機。該曲的製作地點設在紐約索尼音樂錄音室、羅德尼·傑金建於新澤西州的錄音室基地，在錄製工作中，他們起首錄製了貝司，並分別錄製了法國號和人聲。

繼而，羅德尼·傑金同梅克巴·瑞迪可一起錄製了《Déjà Vu》的人聲演示版本，並將其向碧昂絲·吉賽爾·諾斯展示，·碧昂絲接納了它後察覺到Jay Z的企圖，便批准Jay Z錄唱並創作了該曲的説唱橋段 ^[2-3]  。

《Déjà Vu》彷彿暗喻前作《Crazy in Love》和邁克爾·傑克遜的《Off the Wall》 ^[4]  。在音樂結構上，《Déjà Vu》以G小調為關鍵，內部被設有約每分鐘106次的節拍樂器。作為錄唱歌手，碧昂絲·吉賽爾·諾斯的音域從D♯₄橫跨至F₅ ^[5]  ，她的引吭高歌如絲般光滑，且從容自若，與該曲的低音配置對比鮮明，堪比蒂娜·特納正值風華正茂時的大家風範 ^[6-8]  。

《Déjà Vu》的音樂視頻於2006年6月21日拍攝，由英國導演蘇菲·穆勒執導，拍攝地點位於新奧爾良。在音樂視頻中，碧昂絲·吉賽爾·諾斯一人身穿五花八門的服飾分別在黯淡無光的房屋、鬱鬱葱葱的叢林、生意盎然的草地、波光粼粼的小溪歇斯底里地舞蹈。當説唱橋段響起時，碧昂絲·吉賽爾·諾斯放浪地挑逗Jay Z，而Jay Z卻若無其事、潔身自好。其中，碧昂絲·吉賽爾·諾斯帶性暗示的舉措產生了負面影響 ^[9]  。
