首屆青奧會將於今年8月在新加坡點燃激情

青奧會是國際奧委會專門為14至18歲青少年設計的綜合性運動會，它是在前任國際奧委會主席羅格的倡議下，國際奧委會在2007年決定創辦的。青奧會與奧運會一樣，每四年舉辦一屆，分為冬季和夏季。

兩年前，新加坡戰勝競爭對手莫斯科，獲得首屆夏季青奧會舉辦權。今年2月，中國南京獲得了2014年第二屆夏季青奧會的承辦權。

First of 3 cheers for upcoming Youth Olympic Games launched

SINGAPORE: The first of three cheers for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games was launched Thursday at Velocity@Novena Square.

The "You Are The One Singapore" music video was composed and performed by popular local singer-songwriter JJ Lin.

It is the first of three cheers for the inaugural Games.

The Singapore Sports Council (SSC) wants to have the cheers reverberate at sports events and venues leading up to the games.

The catchy three-minute music video features cameos by leading Singapore athletes past and present.

Former sprinting legend C Kunalan and swim star Ang Peng Siong, current national gymnasts Nicole Tay and Tabitha Tay, and swim sensation Tao Li will all be making appearances in the video.

The video is part of the "Cheer Singapore" campaign by the SSC.

The Games will be held in Singapore from August 14 to 26.
