Better Than Revenge創作背景
2008年喬·喬納斯見異思遷追求女演員卡米拉·貝勒，並在電話中以創紀錄27秒的時間就把斯威夫特甩了。後來被她寫進《Forever & Always》中，“現在我終於明白你只是説説而已”。Joe Jonas寫了一首《Much Better》（你更好）來回嗆斯威夫特，指出卡米拉是自己更好的情人，因此斯威夫特把炮火對準那位橫刀奪愛的女演員，也在題目和歌詞中用了"Better"這個詞——“Come on, show me how much better you are (讓我看看你比我更好在哪兒)”。《Better Than Revenge》中寫道：“她不是聖人，她不是你認為的那樣完美，她只是一個演員，她在牀墊上的那些事讓她變得有名。”
