Beautiful創作背景

《Beautiful》由琳達·佩裏創作完成後，她最初想自已演唱這首歌曲，但是她在製作P!nk的第二張錄音室專輯《M!ssundaztood》時，曾考慮將這首歌交於P!nk演唱，然而在領略克里斯蒂娜·阿奎萊拉的演唱風範後，琳達·佩裏決定將這首歌交於克里斯蒂娜·阿奎萊拉演唱。她在加利福尼亞州伯班克的Enterprise錄音室和洛杉磯的Conway錄音室錄製了這首歌。

琳達·佩裏的妻子薩拉·吉爾伯特透露，在《Stripped》發行前克里斯蒂娜·阿奎萊拉曾想重錄這首歌，因為她認為她演唱的不夠好，但是琳達·佩裏認為克里斯蒂娜·阿奎萊拉沒有必要這麼做，因為這首歌的歌詞與缺陷和脆弱有關^[4] 。
