Alejandro創作背景

《Alejandro》錄製於荷蘭阿姆斯特丹，創作靈感來源於Lady Gaga對於“男性怪獸”的恐懼，還受到了東歐音樂影響，參考了ABBA的歌曲《Fernando》和麥當娜的歌曲《La Isla Bonita》，選錄了意大利作曲家維托里奧·蒙蒂的《Csárdás》作為開頭的小提琴伴奏。Lady Gaga出於對該歌曲的喜愛，沒有考慮唱片公司的要求，將該歌曲替代《Dance In The Dark》作為所在專輯的第三發歌曲發行^[3-4] 。

《Alejandro》是一首不愠不火，甚至壓抑、陰森森的冷豔舞曲，有着Ace Of Base的音樂風格，媲美麥當娜《Who's That Girl》不足為過，又像是對Minneapolis Sound的《Retro, Dance, Freak》的模仿，和對ABBA的致敬。Lady Gaga的唱法有哥倫比亞女歌手夏奇拉的特色，聲音略含糊不清，帶有西班牙口音和貴族氣質^[7-11] 。
