2018年12月26日，北京交通大學市政與環境工程實驗室發生爆炸燃燒，事故造成3人死亡。 ^[1] 

陳曦，因未按要求到現場開展學院實驗室安全自查，未及時發現環境實驗室儲存、使用危險化學品的安全隱患，未按照要求落實實驗室日常檢查制度，對事故發生及造成的嚴重影響負主要領導責任。依據《事業單位工作人員處分暫行規定》第十七條之規定，給予其降低崗位等級處分。 ^[1]
