1981－1986：中國科學技術大學應用化學系學士。

1986－1989：中國科學技術大學材料科學與工程系碩士。

1989－1992：中國科學技術大學材料科學與工程系講師。

1992－1994：荷蘭特文特大學化工系（A.J. Burggraaf教授研究組），合作研究。

1994－1998：荷蘭代爾夫特理工大學技術大學化工系（J. Schoonman教授研究組），博士。

1998－2001：美國阿貢國家實驗室化學技術部，博士後。

2001－2002：美國阿貢國家實驗室化學技術部，正式僱員（Staff Scientist）。

2002至今： 中國科學技術大學材料科學與工程系，教授，博導。 ^[1] 

2006年，任榮事達新能源公司首席科學家。

2010年，第七屆“挑戰杯”中國大學生創業計劃競賽金獎得主“LiFe創業團隊”指導老師。
