袁明

1982年7月畢業於西北大學生物系，獲理學學士學位。

1988年7月畢業於北京農業大學生物學院，獲理學博士學位。

1990年10月至1995年7月，分別在英國University of East Anglia、英國John Innes Institute以及美國Purdue University從事博士後研究工作。

1995年7月回國，在中國農業大學生物學院任教。

1998年和1999年兩次赴香港大學植物學系進行合作研究。

2001年聘為教授。

任植物科學系系主任、植物生理學與生物化學國家重點實驗室副主任。

《植物學報》編委，《科學通報》特邀編輯，《植物學通報》副主編。

主要從事植物細胞骨架的結構和功能，以及植物細胞骨架動態及其調控的研究。主要研究工作內容包括：植物微管的動態特性、植物微管列陣在細胞中的組織和調控；植物微管結合蛋白的分離、純化及其生化和細胞功能的分析；植物細胞骨架在植物發育和植物細胞生長中的功能；細胞骨架在植物細胞間大分子物質通過胞間連絲的調控機制等。
