恩斯特·策梅洛生平
1889年，他畢業於柏林Luisenstädtisches Gymnasium。他然後在柏林大學、Halle和弗萊堡研究數學、物理和哲學。他於1894年在柏林大學完成博士學位，其博士論文是關於變分法的（Untersuchungen zur Variationsrechnung）。策梅洛留在柏林大學，他被聘為普朗克的助手，在其指導下，他開始研究流體力學。
1897年，策梅洛去了哥廷根。當時哥廷根是整個世界數學研究的中心，在那裏他於1899年完成了教員資格論文。
策海洛於1953年5月21日在弗賴堡逝世。
