電視方面，《摩登家庭第三季》以5項提名稱霸所有劇集，《我為喜劇狂第五季》和《嗜血法醫第六季》排在第2位，都獲得了3項提名，而且兩部劇集的靈魂人物蒂娜·菲和邁克爾·C·豪爾也均提名了演員獎項。較令人驚喜的提名莫過於律政劇《金裝律師第一季》的男主角帕特里克·J·亞當斯獲得了劇情類最佳男演員的提名，劇中初入律師事務所的Mike的聰明、善良被帕特里克·J·亞當斯演繹得生動有趣。而另一部高收視之作《美國恐怖故事第一季》，則讓傑西卡·蘭格輕鬆獲得了劇情類最佳女演員的提名。《國土安全第一季》一直是劇評人較為推崇的劇集，但在表演方面看來弱勢很多，什麼提名都沒有拿到

。最終的獲獎名單幾乎沒有意外，獎項最終歸屬了頒獎季的種子選手們。除了劇情類最佳女演員被傑西卡·蘭格收入囊中，其餘喜劇和劇情類獎項，都給了第18屆美國演員工會獎的獲得者。電視電影/迷你劇方面，凱特·温絲萊特憑藉在《幻世浮生》的出色表演，成功收穫電視電影/迷你劇最佳女演員
