應用化學、有機化學、精細化工等領域技術和產品生產技術的研究、開發和服務等。主要包括新型材料,高效農藥,生物醫藥等開發,並從事有機方法學研究。 [1]

學術經歷:主持國家“九五”重點攻關項目一項和省社會發展項目一項;還作為主要完成人承擔了國家“八五”和“九五”攻關項目各一項。美國北達可他州立大學,賓夕法尼亞大學訪問學者。 [1] 
榮譽稱號:南京工業大學博士生導師;獲國家科技進步獎的完成人(排名前五名);獲部、省科技進步二等獎以上的主要完成人;獲第九屆中國農藥創新貢獻獎(技術創新獎一等獎), [2]  已獲得發明專利的專利權人。 [1]
