博士期間就開始從事有機光電功能材料研究，在有機功能材料設計與合成、結構表徵分析與性能評價等方面具有紮實的研究工作基礎，已發表相關SCI 論文20 篇，論文中，成功合成了功能化的卟啉和噻吩類化合物，經過與其他染料分子的組合與修飾，得到了新型長波長吸收材料，吸收光譜被擴展到近紅外區。 ^[1]
