（1）有機功能小分子的設計、合成及性能（有機結構分析與性能研究）；

（2）順磁共振（EPR）在生物分子間相互作用研究中的應用（有機結構分析與性能研究）；

（3）有機反應機理研究（理論計算化學）；

（4）非鍵相互作用研究及其在分子識別中的應用（理論計算化學） ^[1]  。

為主要研究人員參加了國家自然科學基金項目三項、天津市應用基礎研究基金項目一項；

在本專業領域學術刊物上發表學術論文47餘篇，其中SCI收錄40篇（IF＞2的20篇），EI收錄18篇。此外還申請專利1項；

與北京大學、吉林大學、南京大學等知名高校合作編寫高等學校教材《有機化學》（高等教育出版社）及高等學校教學參考書《有機化學水平測試題解》（高等教育出版社）各一部。
