新華網·融媒體未來研究院（FMCI）是致力於傳媒融合發展模式及技術、產品研發的智力研究機構。秉承以人為中心、圍繞用户體驗不斷進行技術與機制創新的理念，將人工替代與人的功能強化相融合，探索“硬件+軟件+互聯網服務”的模式。
自2014年建立國內首個用户體驗傳感實驗室以來，FMCI在人工智能、生物傳感領域積極探索。2015年12月20日，推出第一代生物傳感智能分析系統Star機器人 [1-3]  。同時，在大數據與精準營銷方面也獲得重要進展，已具備瞬間併發運算能力30億次、日均百億級人羣數據挖掘分析的能力。FMCI從傳感入手，融合線上數據，已實現生理、心理數據與行為數據、實時數據與事後數據的整合。
正開展的研究還包括：1、生物傳感+移動醫療的傳媒應用——循證醫學與數據挖掘；2、電子商務領域的傳媒情報分析；3、“蝙蝠俠”——新聞無人機服務與管控系統等殺手級應用。等等。

11月於上海，與中國國家話劇院合作，圓滿完成《戰馬》“襲”心——國內首次劇場傳感實驗。 [5]

Collaborating with CWI (The National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science in the Netherlands), the lab researches the prospective international cooperation for the core support technology of sensor which the next ecological media generation relies on,researching the prospective international cooperation. Cooperating with a number of websites, newspapers, television and cultural creative enterprises, etc.
Collaborating with British, United States, Holland and other national scientific research institutionsto set up a global film evaluation center.
November Shanghai, in cooperation with the National Theatre Company of China, the lab completed the first theater Biosensor experiment successfully, which is the first time in China.

研究院已與多家國際一流研究機構建立科研、技術合作，包括荷蘭國家數學計算機中心（CWI）、美國密蘇里大學新聞學院、英國諾丁漢大學、諾丁漢特倫特大學、巴斯思巴大學、伯明翰城市大學、香港浸會大學、美國電影攝影師工會技術協會等。與中國新聞技術工作者協會、中國網絡傳播學會及國內各大高校等開展長期合作。
