《應用化學專業英語》是根據教育部高等學校化學類專業教學指導分委員會編制的《化學類專業指導性專業規範》的有關要求編寫的。本書分為五個單元，共26課。內容涉及科技英語翻譯技巧，化學化工基礎知識，樣品前處理技術，主要的工業分析方法，國際化學類著名期刊簡介、查閲方式及科技文獻檢索方法。另外還附有化學術語的英文表達方法和讀法。在編寫過程中注重知識性、專業性和實用性，使其緊密與本科生所學的專業知識相結合。

本書可供理工科大學、綜合性大學、師範類院校的應用化學、化學等專業或相關專業的學生使用，也可供從事應用化學、化學和化工等工作的科技工作者作為提高專業英語知識的參考書。 ^[1]
