，佛蘭斯蒂德命名法為蛇夫座60，是一顆位於蛇夫座的K型巨星。和其他的K型巨星相似，蛇夫座β的亮度會有輕微的變化（2.75 - 2.77之間，變化範圍0.02）

宗正一觀測資料
這是一顆恆星光譜為K2 III的巨星。雖然它的質量只比太陽大13% ，但它已經進入了演化階段，外層已經擴展到太陽半徑的12倍，輻射光度是太陽的63倍。它的表面温度相對較冷，為4467開爾文，呈現出典型的K型星的橙色色調。
