南索托語（英語：Southern Sotho / 南索托語：seSotho）是班圖語系的語言之一，全世界大約有500萬人説南索托語，主要分佈在南非、萊索托、博茨瓦納、納米比亞、贊比亞等地區。在南非，南索托語是11種官方語言之一。

的第一套拼寫系統是由Thomas Arbousset,、Eugene Casalis 、Constant Gosselin這三位法國傳教士發明的，他們於1833年來到萊索托。1841年，第一本南索托語的語法書正式出版。
