Left my toothbrush in your bathroom

I swear it was an accident

But I'm afraid of what it meant to you

For I married in mind

The stories of what it is to be touched

And what it is to die

Back when i was in highschool

I told a boy I liked his shoes

And he asked me if I want to get a beer

And when I politely declined

Well naturally he spit at me

and cursed at me for telling lies

If you give him a glance

He may take your whole body

And it's not worth the chance

But my healing comes when I know that I will know

The remedy that soothes me is to find myself on the map of my future

It all started on a crowded train

Could've been an accident

Until the stranger tried again

And I couldn't find my way out of there

Thus was birthed a fear of being chained inside

Each invitation to intertwine

And that wound is still raw

Its burns and it bleeds

Though 10 years have gone

But my healing comes when I know that I will know

The remedy that soothes me is to find myself on the map of my future

And my wounds, they will heal

When I bathe them in balm

Made of trust reappeared

Today I found that I can lean on me

that all I need is found within

And answers are revealed and seen

in the right time

I will know just what I need

My love for me has and will exceed

Any doubts I may bring with me

Now yesterday

Is ready to be left behind

All that happened was the product of

A group of younger minds

And for now, I think that I am safe with you

And I can leave my toothbrush

In your bathroom

Or take it home when I want to ^[1]
