Alanis Morissette是加拿大在上個世紀九十年代中期湧現出的一名女子搖滾樂的超級明星，至今仍然是加拿大女歌手中最具有象徵意義的代表人物之一。

Thank U這首歌出現在電影《朝聖之路》(2010)後段，與電影的意境十分相似。 ^[1] 

這首歌是由Alanis Morissette和 Glen Ballard 合作創作的。Ballard 曾為 Michael Jackson 創作名曲 Man In the Mirror，與Morissette 進行過多次的合作。這首歌是Morissette 在她印度之行結束之後創作的。
