Lady Gaga對《The Fame Monster》的説法是，“我寫了很多在創作《The Fame》時絕對不會寫的歌曲。當我在過去的兩年不斷在世界各地巡迴演出的時候，我遭遇了不少怪物，而在這個再版的《The Fame Monster》中，我會用不一樣的歌曲來描繪這些怪物，這些怪物都是我的心理歷程，像‘害怕寂寞’的怪物、‘害怕酒精’的怪物、“害怕愛”的怪物、‘害怕死亡’的怪物等等。” ^[3] 

而對《Monster》這首歌曲Gaga解釋道，它是描述一個女孩對人際關係與性愛的恐懼，歌詞則是闡述了她愛上了一個壞男孩，又想逃避，又離不開他的感覺。 ^[4] 

Lady Gaga，1986年3月28日出生於美國紐約曼哈頓，美國流行歌手、詞曲創作者、慈善家、演員。 ^[5] 

2006年以真名發行首張EP《Red And Blue》，2008年10月，發行首張錄音室專輯《The Fame》，其中囊括Billboard Hot 100冠軍單曲《Just Dance》與《Poker Face》。2009年11月發行EP《The Fame Monster》。2010年，Lady Gaga被《時代》週刊評為百大最有影響力文化人物之一。2011年，第二張錄音室專輯《Born This Way》於5月23號正式推出。2011年6月被《福布斯》雜誌評為世界百位名人之首，2012年榮登福布斯最具潛力明星榜榜首。2013年11月11日，推出個人第三張錄音室專輯《ARTPOP》。2014年9月23日發佈了與Tony bennett合作的專輯《Cheek to Cheek》，2016年發行第五張錄音室專輯《Joanne》。 ^[6]
