Timothy B. Schmit(貝斯)1947年10月30日出生，是成立於加州的老鷹合唱團中唯一的加州人。1970年Schmit加入Poco合唱團替補Meisner留下的貝斯手空缺並且直到1977年9月加入老鷹合唱團才離開Poco，1984年重新歸隊。Schmit歌聲屬輕柔的高音，和低沉的貝斯恰成反比，所以有人戲稱他是“Sing High, Play Low”。Schmit個人演唱專輯始自1984年，老歌新唱單曲"So Much In Love"是電影《開放的美國學府》中的插曲，1994年節奏藍調團All-4-One再度唱紅。Schmidt在1992年曾一度加入披頭士鼓手Ringo Starr號召的All-Starr Band。其他樂團成員的個人專輯中也常見到Schmit的跨刀。
