You Won't See Me

這首歌的歌詞是關於Paul McCartney與其當時的女朋友Jane Asher的關係危機。Jane拒絕回覆電話並且無視Paul，Paul陷於易受傷害的境地。與Paul早期的歡快的愛情歌曲不同，這首歌充滿了傷痛的情緒。《You Won't See Me》是在專輯《Rubber Soul》的最後錄音時錄製的，時間實在1965年11月11日。完成專輯的期限即將來臨，樂隊還需要錄製三首歌曲以結束專輯。結果這首歌樂隊只錄制了兩個Take ^[1]  。歌曲時長3:22，這是當時The Beatles錄製的最長的歌曲，而當時Bob Dylan和其他人已經開始創作更長的歌曲，這已經成為一種趨勢。　Mal "Organ" Evans (The Beatles的巡迴樂隊管理員)因為在這首歌中演奏了哈蒙德風琴而被寫上了專輯封套，他對專輯的貢獻在於貫穿歌曲最後部分的一個單獨的A note。　《You Won't See Me》從未成為The Beatles的演唱會曲目，但McCartney在他2005-2006年的巡迴演唱會時演唱了這首歌曲。

1974年，《You Won't See Me》成為Anne Murray的一首熱門單曲，單曲在Billboard的Hot100榜單中最高排名第8，更在Easy Listening singles榜單中登頂。 ^[4]  據Murray回憶，Lennon曾對她説，她的這個翻唱版本是他最喜歡的翻唱披頭士作品。 ^[5]  Murray承認她是Beatles的狂熱追隨者，之後又翻唱了Beatles的一些歌曲，作為單曲發行，包括《Day Tripper》、《I'm Happy Just to Dance with You》。Murray將在她2007年的專輯《Duet: Friends & Legends》中與Shelby Lynne合唱，重新錄製《You Won't See Me》。

The Bee Gees與1966年在澳大利亞翻唱了這首歌，歌曲首先收錄於1970年專輯《Inception/Nostalgia》，這張專輯只在德國、法國和日本發行。

Bryan Ferry在1973年專輯《These Foolish Things》中翻唱了這首歌。

Helmut Köllen,Triumvirat的前貝斯手、主唱，在其27歲去世前六個月時錄製了專輯《You Won't See Me》，並將Beatles歌曲《You Won't See Me》為主題曲，作為專輯B面的結束，專輯在其去世後發行。
