《飢餓遊戲》女主角Katniss的思想鬥爭如下：
●Katniss在飢餓遊戲中的表現，讓她意外地成為了國會區的明星和其他區心中的反抗精神領袖，她並不想如此，但只能被迫承受這一切。
●對於自己身上留下的傷疤，Katniss認為那是被施加在她身上負擔，被迫殺人、被迫成為國會區的明星、被迫為整個施惠國的反抗行為負責。
●Katniss自從在飢餓遊戲中取得勝利後，得到國會區貴族的青睞，成為了名人，而另一方面，在反抗者們眼中她卻成為反抗精神領袖，無論在貴族眼中還是在反抗者眼中她都彌足珍貴。
●她的命運從她和皮塔贏得飢餓遊戲之後就不再受她自己的控制，斯諾總統想通過她平息施惠國的叛亂，而反叛者們則想要推舉她成為反抗軍的精神領袖，但是Katniss不想受任何一方的控制。
●Katniss在施惠國的國會區裏是新的明星，貴族們會歡呼她的名字；而在Katniss反叛者眼中則是反抗領袖時，人們都把她當成屬於人民的嘲笑鳥，在斯諾總統頒佈禁令之後，反抗者們都只能輕輕耳語她的名字。
●戰爭一觸即發，Katniss發現反抗者們寄予她很大的期望，她倍感壓力，但在目睹了斯諾對反叛者的暴行之後，她最終還是選擇披上辛納在死前為她設計的戰服，站出來成為反抗軍的精神領袖。
