Welcome to the jungle創作背景
1988年在美國出版的黑膠版單曲封面
艾克索·羅斯曾在Slash媽媽家裏彈過一個連復段，那段旋律後來成了《Welcome to the Jungle》的前奏和主連復段。1985年的一天，樂隊正在排練，無所事事想寫點新歌，艾克索·羅斯突然想起了那條連復段，讓Slash彈奏一下。Slash開始彈奏後，鼓手Steven Adler立刻配上了鼓點，達夫·麥克凱漢用貝斯旋律跟進，艾斯·斯塔德林給整首歌加了點花樣。大概三小時之後，該曲創作完成

Welcome to the jungle歌曲MV
《Welcome to the Jungle》的MV於1987年8月1日在洛杉磯拍攝，是槍炮與玫瑰樂隊的第一支MV。MV開始，艾克索·羅斯拎着一個衣箱從巴士下來，他的打扮顯然就是一個來大城市謀生的鄉巴佬。艾克索·羅斯透過商店櫥窗的玻璃看到電視裏另一個身着緊身衣的搖滾歌手艾克索·羅斯（還有Slash蹲坐在旁邊喝酒的鏡頭）。MV結尾，艾克索·羅斯依然站在電視前，但是這時候他的身份從一個進城打工者轉變成了一名搖滾歌手

MTV電視台一開始拒絕播放《Welcome to the Jungle》的MV，最後給了格芬唱片公司老闆大衞·格芬面子，同意在午夜時間段播放一些MV片段。但是片段一經播出便抓住了觀眾的心，很快這支MV便成了MTV台的熱門之一
