2006年，泰勒與獨立唱片公司Big Machine簽約並推出了首支單曲《Tim McGraw》，緊接着推出了首張同名專輯《Taylor Swift》，該專輯獲得美國唱片業協會的5倍白金唱片認證[1]。第二張專輯《Fearless》於2008年11月11日發行，在公告牌二百強專輯榜上一共獲得11周冠軍，並被美國唱片業協會認證為6倍鉑金唱片[2]，與此同時依靠這張專輯收穫無數格萊美獎項。首支單曲《Love Story》在公告牌百強單曲榜排名第四，成為美國史上第二暢銷的鄉村單曲，同時該專輯獲得第52屆格萊美“年度專輯”的最高榮譽。2009年，泰勒被《公告牌》雜誌評選為年度藝人。同年，泰勒在《福布斯》名人榜名列第69位[4]。2012年，泰勒發行新專輯《RED》。2014年5月30日，泰勒·斯威夫特將在上海梅賽德斯－奔馳文化中心開啓亞洲巡演首站。
