Thomas Kinkade

1958年出生於美國加州，四歲時用筆塗鴨時，就展現他的繪畫稟賦，親人和老師都稱他為“畫畫小天才”。十四歲時，開始決意從事藝術的創作。 在完成了在Bakshi製片公司的工作之後，托馬斯開始了作為職業畫家的生涯，在加利福尼亞各地的畫廊出售他的原畫。Thomas Kinkade的家庭生活幸福美滿，1982年他和也是從事藝術工作的青梅竹馬的女友Nanette結婚，育有一女一子。婚後不久夫妻兩人搬回家鄉小城並決心開創自己的事業。1984年他與妻子開設的限量版畫工作室Thom's work的第一幅商業畫作《DAWSON》迅速銷售一空，獲得成功，Light post publishing從此誕生。隨後在投資者的幫助下，Thomas Kinkade在美國各地開設了10家美術館展示和銷售他的作品。到1998年年初，他已擁有超過100家美術館，翻了三番。大夢想的小男孩成長為世界上作品被收集最多的藝術家。 ^[1] 

他的畫作屢屢受到國際藝術組織的肯定，曾被NALED (National Association of Limited Edition Dealers)評選為年度最佳畫家。

他的繪畫作品以鮮活的顏色和柔和的光線著稱，畫作充滿光影的魅麗變化，因而被稱之為“繪光大師”（the Painter of Light）。
