在中國，知道The Wallflowers的人大概不多，知道Jakob Dylan的人就更少了。但是，知道Bob Dylan的人卻不在少數，它們的關係是這樣的：Bob Dylan的兒子是Jakob Dylan，Jakob Dylan是The Wallflowers的主唱。儘管關係是這樣的，但是，在聽The Wallflowers的音樂時不要把The Wallflowers或Jakob Dylan與Bob Dylan聯繫在一起，儘管他看上去很像他的父親，儘管Jakob也像他的父親一樣抱着吉他。

the Wallflowers樂隊發展

The Wallflowers立足洛杉磯，但音樂卻源自納什維爾、新奧爾良和新澤西，音樂風格也是鄉村音樂、搖滾樂和民歌的融合體。1992年，它們出版了第一張同名專輯，但沒有什麼反響。這是The Wallflowers的第二張專輯，擔任製作人的T-Bone Burnett恰恰是當年Bob Dylan巡迴演出時Rolling Thunder樂隊的吉他手。T-Bone Burnett的參與，使這張專輯比起他們的第一張專輯更根源一些。

整張專輯是以白人布魯斯、鄉村音樂為基調，優美的吉他Solo使人想起60年代的白人布魯斯搖滾樂，而優美的和聲又使人想起當年納什維爾的鄉村音樂。專輯中最搶耳的要數“6th Avenue Heartache”這首歌了，吉他演奏頗似Eric Clapton的“Wonderful Tonight”。“Bleeders”、“The Difference”、“God Don’t Make Lonely Girls”等是專輯中幾首搖滾風格比較明顯的歌曲，而“Three Marfenas”“Invisible City”、“Josephine”又是極富情調的、細膩的鄉村風格的作品，“Josephine”也是專輯裏另一首抒情佳作。
