在2013年，Travis第七張錄音室專輯《Where You Stand》，拿下了《AllMusic》、《Clash》、《The Independent》等權威音樂雜誌近滿分的評價，並且首度在蘇格蘭排行榜登上冠軍及英國金榜拿到了季軍；Travis再次展開了巡迴演唱。在巡演的途中，主唱Fran Healy不斷在世界各地蒐集新素材，同時進行了歌曲的創作，把新素材融入到旋律與歌詞中。經歷了將近三年的醖釀和沉澱，2015年11月25日，Travis無預警的丟出了一首名為"Everything At Once"的歌曲，並且讓所有人進行免費下載；同時，在新曲發佈之後，也宣佈了兩場英國演出，並且宣佈第八張錄音室專輯將與新歌同名。睽違三年的等待，終於交出了《 Everything At Once》（傾盡所有）。《Strangers on a Train》為專輯第十首歌曲。 ^[1]
