Pon De Replay創作背景
“pon de replay”在巴巴多斯地區的意思是“play it again”（再放一次）。蕾哈娜在巴巴多斯被製作人伊萬·羅傑斯發掘後搬往美國紐約。在紐約，蕾哈娜錄製了歌曲小樣發往各大唱片公司，其中就包括《Pon de Replay》。她一開始並不喜歡這首歌，但是錄製後卻喜歡上了這首歌。她的作品吸引了JAY-Z，JAY-Z邀請蕾哈娜來唱片公司試音，蕾哈娜包括該曲在內的三首歌

《Pon de Replay》的導演由Little X擔任。一開始蕾哈娜和她的兩個朋友來到了夜總會，氣氛平淡無聊。隨後蕾哈娜受夠了這種氛圍，於是走上一個平台，穿着銀色的肚臍上裝和寬鬆的牛仔褲，開始隨着歌曲表演，讓DJ播放歌曲。隨後人們就跟着蕾哈娜一起跳舞，中間穿插着蕾哈娜靠在牆上的照片和LED燈下的“Bar”字樣。隨後蕾哈娜跑出舞台，來到舞池，狂歡氣氛達到最高潮
